Why use the ceiling fan in winter time.

There are many who have a ceiling fan installed in their home or business spaces but only using it in summer. This is a very common mistake because they may not know all its possibilities. So stay tuned because in this article we will see why use a ceiling fan in winter time.

Ceiling fans are tools with advanced technology that allow us to set any kind of room or space. It has always been very common to have a fan as an ally against heat, because to move the air quickly gives us a feeling of freshness.

But the reality is that the ceiling fan does not change the air temperature and, in fact, it is not intended for that or to create breezes or gusts of wind. The ceiling fan serves to spread the air in the room, blending it in the entire of room volume.

So it can and is a perfect ally also in winter times. Let's take an example: Imagine on a snowy day in a room with a radiator on on the left side and a window on the right side. If you get closer to the radiator you will see that it emits heat, and the closer you get, the more heat you feel. On the other way, as we move away, we begin to feel the cold that seeps through the window glass.

If we placed a ceiling fan in this room, we would make the hot air from the upper part on ceiling intertwine with the cold air from the lower part of window and floor, thus creating a medium temperature space in which one would be comfortable further away than near this stove.

This function is called the reverse function and it is present in all our fans. Thanks to it, a ceiling fan allows us to also set rooms in cold weathers by inverse rotation of blades.

This is a key point of ceiling fans since it allows them to be used throughout the year, whatever the season or outside temperature, offering us to take better advantage for the general temperature of our environment, always with one average comfortable temperature in rooms where we have installed them.

Did you know this function?
