One of the great values of Modern Fan ceiling fans is that they last more than 20 years, working like the first day, without noise and efficiently. This is achieved thanks to the motors we use and that has made our product be appreciated for its silent and efficient operation.
Much has been said about the different types of motors that exist in the ceiling fan market. Both AC and DC motors have been disputed over and over again to see which is best, but which ones do we use at Modern Fan to last more than 20 years?
What is an Asynchronous or induction motor?
It was the Serbo-Croatian engineer Nikola Tesla who would go down in history as the inventor of the asynchronous motor, since he was the first to build and protect this motor with patents, despite previous references.
This motor uses alternating current (AC) that produces a rotating magnetic field that surrounds the rotor, experiencing a force that sets it in motion.
Basically consists of a rotor, which includes a copper winding that is surrounded by a magnets jacket. This set together with electricity produces the movement of the fan rotor.
Because there is no kind of contact, its operation is completely silent, smooth, without vibrations, reliable and at the same time efficient because there are no electrical leaks.
Quality and High efficiency.
With same way that we design our fans seeking excellence, we also manufacture our own motors to achieve high efficiency standards, using pure and non-recycled materials, such as 99% pure copper, special steel or careful internal engineering that reduces current losses and allows us to achieve the highest quality and efficiency standards in accordance with the most demanding regulations.
All of this to achieve that to have a Modern Fan ceiling fan be a unique, efficient and lasting experience.
This is the reason that our ceiling fans are so valued and achieve a much longer useful life than the rest. Thanks to the use of our own motors, we have managed to satisfy thousands of customers who have been using the same fan for more than 20 years, enjoying it like the first day.
